A poem that my twenty-something self chews on

[ If you look at A too much, you'll lose B ; { ( A , B ) = ( Down , Dream ) ( Up , Reality ) ( Back , Future ) ( Right and Left , Myself ) ( Front , Fellow ) } ] . Just step by step And that's it. Admit it to the poem. It's not that if you do the little things, you can do the big things one day. When you know from the beginning that there are no big or small things, it's a hell of a lot easier to live. The reason we are able to compare ideals and reality is because we have brought a value standard and quantified it. You can't quantify it, isn't there a priceless value that can't be quantified? It's the shit in the shit. We're pulled into a capitalist society where desire is driven, because we see cars in commercials. We're stuck with the values that have been imprinted on us by society for so long. It's a problem with the social system, it's the fault of the society that has imprinted the quantification of value standards. At the very least, I hope you will swallow the fact that you only have one life. Don't run away from who you are. ( 1112 words )
